What Little Miss Funeral wears (on a rainy day).

This post is going to be a little different. Because instead of writing about my normal topic of grief and dying, I’m going to talk about something else that’s near and dear to my heart; clothes. I really loved clothes, probably a little too much. But I find outfits so much fun! So I’m going to start a new section of my blog and I’m calling it “What Little Miss Funeral Wears”.
Clothes can be a difficult topic if you’re a female funeral director. I don’t always like to wear suits, mainly because they cost a fortune to dry clean, so I tend to only wear suits for funerals. I’m very lucky because I’m allowed to wear different things at the funeral home I work at, as long as it’s appropriate. Well, what’s appropriate? Hopefully I’ll be able to share some ideas with you guys!
Today there was a wake at the funeral home. So I decided to wear one of my favorite dresses in my closet along with some classic black high heels with a little bow on the toe that adds a girly touch. I tossed on the hat only when I had to go outside (it’s been raining all day).
Dress: Express Shoes: Nine & Co. Hat: H&M
You look so classy! I love it.
Nice…remember, there is a difference in having style and being fashionable. Good job!
Reblogged this on Henry Vinson .
Perfect – both the dress and especially the hat.
I’m so glad I found your blog and Facebook! I am 23, moved from Philly to Arkansas 3 years ago and now I major on funeral science! I am even president of the mortuary club (still can’t believe it haha) and I love this field. I’ve gone to the morgue a handful of times for embalming cases and a dozen funerals although never really planned one or even behind the scenes on that matter. I certainly feel this is not only a career path but a passion. And I have a few reasons I feel that way I won’t get into right now! I must say though your blog is inspiring and it reaches home! 🙂 🙂
